  8. Power Countdown CSM is a Control Strip Module that shows the remaining time before the various power conservation features kick in.

  10. Next to each icon indicating a specific power conservation feature (disk spindown, screen dimming, system sleep) is a bar indicator that illustrates the amount of time before that power conservation feature becomes active.

  14. The Power Countdown CSM will work on any Macintosh that supports a recent version of the Power Manager Dispatch software.  When this manual was prepared, this included:

  28. Installing the Power Countdown CSM

  30. 1)  Open your System Folder.
  31. 2)  Drag the Power Countdown CSM file to the Control Strip Modules folder.
  32. 3)  Restart your PowerBook.

  34. Configuring the Power Countdown CSM

  36. Once you've installed the Power Countdown CSM, you can configure it to match your personal preferences.

  45. The popup menu lets you control the appearance of the Control Strip.
